Gov. Kathy Hochul announced 13 state landmarks were to be illuminated dark blue on the evening of Tuesday, Jan. 9 in honor of National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.
“Our law enforcement officers put their lives on the line every day in service to their fellow New Yorkers – we thank them for their service today and every day,” Hochul said. “New York is a safer place because of their dedication. Today we recognize their sacrifices and show our appreciation for their work.”
Landmarks to be lit include:

• Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge
• Kosciuszko Bridge
• The H. Carl McCall SUNY Building
• State Education Building
• Alfred E. Smith State Office Building
• Empire State Plaza
• State Fairgrounds – Main Gate & Expo Center
• Niagara Falls
• Lake Placid Olympic Center
• Fairport Lift Bridge over the Erie Canal
• Moynihan Train Hall
• Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park
