Westchester County Executive George Latimer tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. The county executive sought out a test after hearing that he was exposed at a community event in Larchmont. Latimer remains at his Rye home in isolation.
A county spokesperson said that Latimer plans on working remotely for the next 10 days and is believed to be suffering from minor symptoms. Latimer
has received both vaccine shots and was planning on getting a booster shot next month. The county released a statement on Latimer’s behalf saying he
“is continuing to carry out the work of the Government from his residence. He is grateful his symptoms are mild thanks to his COVID-19 vaccinations”
